LA FORESTA INCANTATA

"La Foresta Incantata" (The Enchanted Forest) is a period-instrument group, consisting of three flute players who met during their studies in Verona and whose friendship was cemented by a shared passion for exploring the rich and diverse repertoire of the historical flute. "La Foresta Incantata" performs original pieces, spanning from the Renaissance through the Baroque and on towards the Classical and Romantic repertoire. Music for three flutes was often written for both amateurs and professionals at the royal courts of France, Italy, Germany, England and Bohemia. This music was typically performed in a context of entertainment and relaxation, which atmosphere the ensemble aims to recreate for its audience. The group uses copies of flutes from each historical period in order to approximate the sound most likely heard at the time. Despite this focus on period instruments, the ensemble also welcomes opportunities to play modern compositions."La Foresta Incantata" seeks to bring music outside of the traditional concert-hall setting and directly into the lives of people who have had little exposure to either classical music or period instrument performance.

 REVIEWS

31. 08. 2015 - 11:00 Radhuis - Utrecht

..."They would treat their audience to an extremely brilliant concert on their Baroque flutes...This was the first fringe concert in a long while, which combined a perfect performance with perfect stage presence and excellent manners. The ensemble not only showed knowledge outside their specific field of expertise, but also was one of the few who thanked not only the organisation and audience for enabling them to play during the Festival."...
